The mission is clear–the time is now! Get set for the most spectacular and celestial adventure of all time as Mary, Joseph, and a few simple shepherds in Bethlehem encounter the wonder of the Fear Not Factor! The most epic event of all time has been established and all of heaven’s angels are gearing up to fulfill what has been planned. Under the command of archangel Michael, the Heavenly Army has been commissioned to wing flight to earth and unveil God’s most unexpected, miraculous and perfect plan. However, only one angel, the anxious and thrilled Gabriel, has been selected to make the actual announcement of the Fear Not Factor to a few choice people. This is a fun-filled and inspirational 35-minute Christmas celebration for kids. After all, there’s never been another night like the one when heaven and earth collided, as the Fear Not Factor pierced the starlit skies

The UMW will hold our monthly meeting on Tuesday, October 10, at 10:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Kathy Roys will present the program on Missionary Conferences of the United Methodist Church in the United States. This should be an interesting look at our work throughout our country. All women are invited to attend.
Since we did not meet in September due to Irma, we will have two special offerings this month. Rural Missions on Johns Island and Bethlehem Center in Spartanburg. Both of these missions provide needed services to children, youth and adults in their areas.
At the District UMW Annual meeting on September 16, our local unit at St. James earn certificates for Diamond Unit, 5 Star Unit, 5 Mission Unit, and Mission Today. All of these awards represent our work with mission support and education. Great Work, women!
Praying more can go in March.

This takes you directly to the secure online giving site. On the left-hand side, you will note options to register as a new user or to give without logging in. If you give regular gifts to St. James United Methodist Church, it is recommended that you take the extra minute to make a log-in account, as this will allow you to access a real time record of your gifts which are needed for future tax returns. Creating a log-in also gives you the opportunity to set up regular bank automatic drafts if you would find this an easier option for the future. You can also text your gifts to St. James United General Budget, text the amount to 843-636- 7455. Register your credit or debit card information and press enter. Thank you for your generous gifts, and contact me if you have any questions at 843-576-4638, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you would like to provide the altar flowers for a certain Sunday, please print your name on the calendar (in the lobby) on the date you wish to provide the flowers. Also, please print the name(s) of person(s) you are honoring or remembering and the special occasion. This information will be placed in the bulletin. There are two options for providing flowers:
1. Have the flowers automatically ordered through the church office. The cost is $40.00 and are delivered to the church. You then make your check payable to St. James UMC.
2. You can provide your own flowers, You will be responsible for purchasing the flowers, picking up the arrangement and getting it to the church by 8:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. You must contact the church two weeks prior to placing the flowers to prevent an automatic order to the florist.
The flowers are yours to keep after the Services are over
